Ogle SX1000 '1961–63
Produit à environ 69 exemplaires
A front-wheel drive Mini-based coupé designed by David Ogle.
All of the car's mechanical components came from the Mini MkI, but with a new fibreglass body shell.
BMC initially refused to supply parts to David Ogle, but eventually relented on condition that the Mini name was not mentioned in any promotional.
All Ogle cars were supplied with Mini Cooper 997 cc engines.
Marketed as a conversion for buyer’s own Mini for £550 or as a complete car for £1190.
Introduced to the public in December 1961, the last cars were completed towards the end of 1963.
The moulds for the SX1000 were sold to Fletcher Marine in 1966 and the following year saw its reappearance as the Fletcher GT.
