Initially, Ferrari planned to release the 275 GTS model with an unusual 2+1 seating arrangement with an enlarged passenger seat designed for 2 people. Two prototypes with chassis numbers 06001 and 06315 were released in this configuration. However, due to problems with the homologation of cars related to passenger safety, Ferrari abandoned the original plans in favor of a classic two-seater layout. However, as is often the case with Ferrari, several Tre Posti copies (in addition to the two prototypes) were still released. It is reliably known about two RHD copies (chassis numbers: 06989 and 07293) and three LHD (chassis: 07235, 07487 and 07531).
